Kerr Farms is an alliance of Ontario farmers and distributors, all committed to providing fresh and delicious food choices that are nutritious and environmentally sustainable. They specialize in marketing Ontario Angus beef, which is raised without the use of growth promoting hormones or antibiotics.
Kerr Farms also markets a variety of nutritious and tasty organic and IPM* vegetables, including tomatoes. They are always aware of their impact on the environment, ensuring that waterways and wildlife are protected when crops are planted or cattle are grazing on their properties.
Kerr Farms was founded in 2005 by two farmers from the Chatham area, a cattle rancher from northwestern Ontario, and a Toronto-based meat distributor, who all share a belief in producing good food in animal-friendly and environmentally-friendly ways. Kerr Farms now works with over 75 ranchers and farmers in Ontario.
*IPM - Integrated Pest Management is an ecological approach to agriculture with a main goal of significantly reducing or eliminating the use of pesticides while at the same time managing pest populations at an acceptable level.
